Hi, I'm Brigid Monagle, the Victorian Public Sector Commissioner.

I'm speaking from the lands of the Wurundjeri people and I pay my respects to their elders, past and present.

Welcome to your new role in the Victorian public sector.

You should feel very proud and excited to be here.

So many opportunities are now open to you across our interesting and diverse workplaces.

At the Victorian Public Sector Commission, we work to support the entire sector.

We are focused on making it a place of integrity, inclusion and capability that truly serves Victorians.

We provide a range of resources to help you in your careers, including issuing the Code of Conduct and Employment Standards.

I encourage you to read these and familiarise yourself with all your important obligations.

We also offer training and events and support the Innovation Network.

The network is a respectful and inclusive community of colleagues, using it to learn, share and connect with one another.

I have been lucky enough to have made my career in the Victorian public service.

I find working in the public sector extremely rewarding and I'm sure you will too.

It is a great place to work with fantastic people to solve problems that Victorians care about.
